GNU-Droid Directory

What is GNU-Droid?

GNU-Droid is a collection of a number of Android applications that are licensed under the GPL. It is a 100% free as in freedom directory of Android applications, with links to their source and .APKs for use.

Why isn't there an app?

GNU-Droid is a website instead of an Android application for the sake of bloat. I, Clayton Brannon, the sole maintainer of GNU-Droid, do not like bloat too much. This website, which is LiteWeb compliant, is the opposite of bloated. I believe that if you can download your apps from and online directory instead of adding another app to your phone, then that is in fact a good thing. GNU-Droid is bloat free.

Contact Me

My name is Clayton Brannon. I love free software and saw the need for a 100% free directory of Android applications licensed under the GPL. So I aim to make one. I am no expert, and I make mistakes, so feel free to contact me if you see anything wrong with the website. You can contact me if you have a valid reason listed below. I'm available via email at claytonbrannon@openmailbox.org and via cell phone at (281) 250-3713.

» Submit an application

If your application is not already listed (must be licensed under the GPL and available for Android!), you may contact me via email so that I can upload it. A link to the APK of the application and source code is a requirement.

» There's an error

Did I make a mistake in the directory of main website? Feel free to email me about that. I'll be sure to fix it as soon as possible.

» Just want to chat?

I'm always up for a good conversation. I'll chat via email or cell phone and am available 24/7. I am willing to talk about anything, although I have good input on certain areas.

Directory

The directory contains exactly 15 free as in freedom Android applications as of this moment! You can find the directory here: http://gnu-droid.neocities.org/directory.html
